Russell Tillitt

Russell Tillitt, an accomplished singer-songwriter, recording artist, performer and session musician based in San Francisco, is known for his carefully crafted compositions and engaging stage presence. With a unique blend of indie rock, Americana, post-rock and other elements, Tillitt creates a genre-blurring palette of songs and narratives that reach audiences of all kinds.

Tillitt is currently finishing up work on his next solo album, Blood and Bones. Earlier this year, he released his latest album, Finish Line, recorded at Boxer Lodge and featuring long-time friends and collaborators, Peter Craft (producer), Yuki Kasuya (bass) and Heavy (drums), along with guest, James DePrato, well-known for his work with Chuck Prophet among others. Prior recordings include his previous solo album, Pacific, the EP Daydream on the Vine with The Register Side, an Americana-rooted collective featuring several well-known Bay Area musicians. Tillitt has also been featured recently on other recordings by Brian Mello, Meredith Edgars, The Parker Brothers and Meli Levi. 

Russell performs both solo, as well as with his band, Release The Sharks

Russell Tillitt

Pacific was mostly recorded between 2019 - 2022, with one exception which was recorded approximately 10 years earlier (Ghost in This Town) and was remixed for this album. Many of the songs touch on themes related to adapting and preserving through change.
